This video is part of the United States History, Origins to 2000 collection  produced by Schlessinger Media.  It has excellent segments dealing with the growth of the consumer society, the growth of the new suburbs, and the start of the modern feminist movement.  There are also very well done segments on the Cold War, McCarthyism, and Civil Rights.  The price is $39.95.  Running time:  39 minutes, and easily divided into shorter segments for classroom use.
