What sets this World War Two documentary apart is that it uses only color film footage from the war years.  Soldiers' letters and film of families on the home front add to this powerful program.  There are one or two instances of rough language from soldiers in the field, but these are handled with sensitivity and are not objectionable.  (The video aired originally on PBS.)  The program is divided into episodes and segments, so you can pick and choose those you want.  That's especially easy with the DVD version.  Total time is 220 minutes.
