Tips
for completing the map:
Students should work from the finished map shown on the Internet support site or from our overhead transparency map collection. Emphasize neatness from the beginning! Ask students to color the rivers and the Suez canal first, using a blue color pencil. Remind them to keep right on top of the dotted lines. The labeling of the rivers and other water bodies should be done next, using a #2 pencil, since color pencils are not very good for small lettering. A blue ball point pen can be used, but of course mistakes cannot easily be erased. Once all the labeling is in place, students can color the Mediterranean Sea and the other water bodies with a light blue pencil. (The water body on the upper right is part of the Caspian Sea, but it does not need to be labeled on this map.) Finally, have students color Israel and the West Bank,
and mark the color key with the appropriate colors.

| Reminder: Students and teachers can also view the map shown below in the Maps section of the Internet support site. A set of overhead transparencies of the completed maps is available at a modest price. |
