The Pictures:
 
1.  Independence Hall in Philadelphia.  The Constitutional Convention met there in 1787.

2.  One side of an early version of the Great Seal of the United States.  The eagle represents the new nation, with the 13 original states shown as a constellation of stars.  The eagle carries an olive branch, the symbol of peace, but also arrows, a symbol that the nation will defend itself and its ideals.  The Latin words at the top translate as "Out of many, one."

3.  The opening words of the Constitution of the United States.  The first section is called the Preamble, and states the purpose of the Constitution.
